Another weak weekend with just 2 sightings, 1 each Friday and Saturday night to give me just 9 for July after it's 4th weekend and just 47 for the year. Last Saturday night's crowd was the biggest of the year, but it was even bigger this weekend which compounds my frustrations even more: everything is perfect, hot summer nights and big crowds that have bar bathrooms crowded - so why aren't more ladies peeing like they usually do? I'll have some thoughts on that later. Today is a web page report, I have a shot of the 1 st lady's puddle as it was a big piss. Last week also marked an anniversary for desperatewomen.com, more on that after the 2 sightings stories.
I'm declaring last year's total of 127 sightings and 14 shots unreachable this year as I had 67 sightings and 10 shots on this date last year and am 20 sightings and 7 shots behind that pace this year. The surprise is that this year's totals by late July are not my lowest ever, in 2004 I had 44 sightings and 2 shots on this date and in '96 I also had 47 sightings but 7 shots on this date. I finished both years over 100 sightings (111 in '96, 101 in 2004) so history is on my side in getting 100 sightings again - but it just doesn't feel like I will get there this year. On the other side, how well have I done by this date before? In 2003 I had 102 sightings and just 3 shots, the only time I got to 100 in July. In '01 I had 97 sightings and 12 shots on this date, in '00 93 sightings and 14 shots. By comparison you can see why this year is so frustrating, and how each year is a little different in some way.
It was a typical summer weekend with night temps in the 70's. Friday night's crowd was bigger than it's been most weekends this year, but it's clear people are going out less and more choosing Saturday night as their night to go out clubbing and partying. I'd like to say that is part of the reason for the lower sightings totals, but Saturday night's ladies in the bigger crowds are the ones who haven't been peeing as much, only outpeeing Friday night's ladies by a 25 to 21 margin and based on the crowd sizes I should have 35 to 40 Saturday night sightings by now. Things were back to normal at the RTD station, the security guards both nights leaving the building open until 2:30 with a few desperate ladies going in during that last hour to use the bathroom (always a painful sight!). The Friday night guard never came out of the terminal building all night, allowing me to watch the block as usual and a lady went to the pee sidewalk and peed. The Saturday night guard was his usual annoying self, hanging out around the pee sidewalk but this week with a flashlight to shine at people walking around there to make sure they didn't try to pee. I don't think his bosses tell him to be this annoying, he just does it because he has nothing else to do and thinks he's setting a higher standard of security for the block. Finally a guy in a wheelchair comes up, he wants in the building to catch the late bus. The security guard directs him to the outdoor elevator that will take him down to the bus boarding area in the terminal building basement and then goes in the building to meet the guy down there and when he goes inside, another lady comes up on the block and pees as both sightings were on the RTD block this weekend - 18 sightings on the block now as it continues to be the top pee spot for the ladies again this year and produce near-normal numbers of sightings despite the much heavier security. So as annoying as this beefed-up security is this year, it is those moments when security guards are not there that ladies pee, aren't they sneaky? On to the stories:
Saturday, 2:03 a.m.- I was in the park area in the middle of the RTD block when 2 ladies at the crowded bars across the street crossed the street headed towards the terminal building. I presumed they would go in the terminal building but they walked past it and down the back sidewalk, the lady in front walking very quickly, and turned up the pee sidewalk with lady 2 following. Both were mid 20's and about 5' 7" with medium builds, lady 1 long brown hair wearing black pants and a white frilly maternity-type blouse that was loose around the stomach, lady 2 short blonde hair wearing a black top and tight jeans. Lady 1 went down the pee sidewalk about 12 feet unsnapping the front of her pants looking down at the ground, before turning her back to the wall bordering the sidewalk from the grassy park area and pushing down her pants and squatting down below the top of the wall. Lady 2 stood at the entrance to the pee sidewalk facing the park area looking at me, if both would have peed together I would have gone over and snapped their shot. I still could have gotten lady 1 since I could have come up on her unguarded side, but decided not to with lady 2 looking at me and a few people walking around nearby. Lady 1 stayed squatted peeing for a long time, about a minute (should have gone over and snapped her shot) before finally standing up and pulling up her pants, she walked over to waiting lady 2 and both walked off quickly down the back sidewalk.
I went over to the pee sidewalk and snapped this shot of her huge puddle. She squatted with her back to the wall, her small stream hitting the sidewalk at the lower left edge of the shot. The splatter spots in the bigger front part of the puddle across the lower middle of the puddle where she squatted, indicate her stream went forward to there before splattering out on the sidewalk, then the huge flood of pee turning left and flowing to the drain near the top of the shot (the middle of the pee sidewalk). The sidewalk is sloped on each side of the drain so moisture flows from both sides of the drain to it, her pee flowed downhill to the drain and her puddle was actually bigger than what it looks here because some of it flowed down into the drain. If she had been peeing this would have been a side shot of her squatted with her back to the wall (right side) over the back part of the puddle, which would have been between her feet. She walked past the unlocked RTD terminal building doors and came here to the pee sidewalk, I'm amazed by how many ladies prefer squatting outside and peeing to going inside and using a toilet!
I keep trying to get away from this block and work other parts of the area, but I get annoyed seeing the packs of cops on most of the high-traffic blocks and ladies not peeing in the areas they have before that cops aren't watching. Most of the crowds continue to walk by the RTD block and bring me back there, so again...
Sunday, 2:04 a.m.- the security guard had just gone in the terminal building to assist the wheelchair man. Among the crowds of people walking on the block coming from the busy area I saw a guy in a group of 2 couples pointing to the grassy park area in the middle of the block that the group was passing. They all stopped, the girlfriend of the guy who pointed said to the other couple, "Wait here!" and she and her boyfriend walked up into the grassy area back towards the pee sidewalk. They were mid-20's, she was about 5' 8" and slim with brown hair up in a bun wearing a white tee shirt and jeans. The sprinklers that water the grass just in front of the pee sidewalk late Saturday night had come on, recently adjusted to waste water by watering not only the pee sidewalk but also the sidewalk on the other side of the grass by the terminal building, I'm sure a suggestion made by the security guard to further stop people from peeing in those areas. The couple looked at the watering sprinklers, the lady stopping by a concrete stool in the grass where she unsnapped her jeans and squatted down right there and peed in the grass, my 10th grass sighting this year when I had just 7 grass sightings all of last year. It was a quick piss, just under 10 seconds before she was standing up and pulling up her jeans. This couple did not know the terminal building was still open, they went straight to the grassy park area to pee and didn't consider trying to go in the building.
I used to wonder why ladies had to stop for these quick little pisses and couldn't hold that little amount until later, but in my ladiesroom survey question about bladder capacity the largest group of ladies (25%) say they reach the point of being desperate to pee in just 2 to 4 hours - this lady is another example of that. 56% of the ladies responding to my survey reach the point of desperation in less than 6 hours, I now understand all those 'overactive bladder' commercials directed at women!
Why aren't more ladies peeing? The thing I have to keep in mind is that every year more than 99% of my sightings come from new ladies, which makes it amazing so many different ladies pee outside in my sightings area in such consistent numbers every year. Every year's ladies are a little different, this year's ladies - let's not forget - are of the Britney Spears generation. I think they've all taken notice of her trashy public behaviour and that of other bimbo celebrities (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan in particular) and are more conscious of their behaviour in public and denouncing the irresponsible and trashy behaviour. More of these ladies are expressing disgust about outdoor peeing, criticizing their friends and other females they see do it, and are better controlling their bladders by not drinking as much and making more efforts to use the bathroom before they leave bars. I see fewer ladies who are visibly drunk and bursting to pee while walking through the area, more of those who do have to pee aren't desperate and can wait until they get home or to a bathroom elsewhere. There are always going to be some ladies who are careless or have bad luck and get caught short and have to pee in public, I do have 47 sightings in 7 months which is more than most people will ever see. But a lot of the reckless ways of young ladies I've always seen that led to them doing the careless and stupid things I could always count on that ended with a lot of them really desperate and peeing outside and not caring that they did it seems to be changing this year, more of them are concerned about being 'ladylike' in public and not doing stupid, trashy things that make them look bad. I guess the question is, how long will this continue? I miss all the peeing, love to see lots of ladies desperate and peeing outside or on themselves!
Desperatewomen.com anniversary: July 19 was the 8th anniversary of desperatewomen.com my absurd little website I made for the fun of it back in '99. It's amazing how much has happened since then, I remember spending most of that first year thinking I might be arrested any day because of the site's content. Turned out the worst it got was lots of angry e-mails from guys back then, who were upset that I wasn't giving out all my 'different' kinds of pee pictures for free as the internet was loaded with free pee-porn picture sites back then. Most of those sites were gone years ago, those that weren't shut down for distributing illegal pee-porn eventually folded after their webmasters realized that giving out free pictures to everyone didn't pay the bills to keep their sites up. I've seen thousands of sites come and go, desperatewomen.com changed the perception of this subject as only being pee-porn made for men and has introduced it in an erotic perspective that appeals to both sexes. My site's visitors were 99% male back in those early days, today it's about 60% female - primarily because of my ladiesroom survey which has really produced more information and discussion from females. That's changed the site from being almost exclusively picture-driven back in '99 to rarely selling any pictures these days, both from women not being so interested in them to so many people now being able to get their own sightings that seeing ladies pee outside isn't so rare of a sight anymore. About the only thing that hasn't changed is that I still see ladies pee outside more regularly than most people ever will, and I still like writing about and snapping shots of what I see.
July's final weekend next week, hope I can at least get into double figures in sightings.
